About the event
The Accordion Shop is a play by Cush Jumbo that revolves around a shop owner named Mister Allodi, who has been running his shop for generations. One day, he witnesses a significant event when hundreds of young people surge onto the street, all receiving a mysterious text message that prompts them to gather for a riot. The play explores themes of youth, social issues, and the impact of communication on youth behavior, particularly inspired by the London riots of 2011.
