In celebration of Waltham Forest becoming one of the first London Boroughs of Culture, we at Leyton Sixth Form College are running our own Year of Culture.
As part of this initiative, an exciting new short film about radical thinking is being produced.
This unique, collaborative project will use spoken word, physical theatre, dance, rap, art and music to tell the interviewed thoughts and ideas of the people of Waltham Forest. Although we often associate radical with younger generations, this project explores innovation and transformation in relation to history, tradition and place.
The film will be shot across iconic locations in the borough and using a cast which reflects our diverse community. Collaborators and performers include college students and senior citizens.
The innovative film, entitled “Out of the box” will be released in April. Below are some images taken of our day out on set!
